ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Since the completion of her BFA in photography from the Art Center College of Design in 2001, Aurelia DβAmore has continued to capture tender, fresh, authentic moments from behind the lens, shooting portrait, wedding, and travel photography. Her images have been published in Los Angeles Magazine, Lifetime, Parenting, Forbes, Money, Runner's World, Business 2.0, Las Vegas Magazine, Risen, American Cancer Society, Houston Weddings, Bride's (Turkey), and Style Me Pretty, as well as numerous other venues and private clients. Additionally, she was commissioned to do a portrait for the book Turning Heads, Portraits of Grace, Inspiration, and Possibilities, about women overcoming cancer. Her image of Art Center Alumni, Felipe Dupouy's arm holding wild flowers in Chile was chosen for the cover of "The Varieties of Romantic Experience" by Robert Cohen .
The beyond talented husband and wife wedding photography duo Amy & Stuart took Aurelia under their wings in 2008 and insisted that she had the eye, talent, stamina, and positive attitude to photograph weddings. In 2011 one of her photographs of Merve & Evren's wedding in Turkey was included in PDN's Top Knots wedding issue.
Smiling faces, curious squirrels, and friendly donkeys are a few of her favorite photographic collaborators. Aurelia DβAmore conceives of her photographs as love letters for tomorrow: letters for family, for friends, and even for a future self. She's like a humming bird with a camera, tirelessly capturing moments. Constantly looking and roaming and shooting till there is no light left and with a giant smile from behind the camera.
In the artistβs own words:
βI am here to help tell your story. When I photograph weddings and portraits, I strive to create images that feel natural, relaxed, and fun and not over complicated or staged. I am most interested in focusing on emotion and connection. I'd like you to look at your photographs tomorrow or decades from now and recognize yourself, your friends, and family, in addition to being reminded of what was inside your heart.
I work hard to fine a balance between art and service, so I extend to you my creativity and love every time I pick up my camera. I think photography is an amazing passport to so many different places and allows access to so many interesting people and events. My portfolio is diverse and is indicative of the passion and curiosity I have for life.
Family of Photographers: Robert D'Amore (Father) & Richard D'Amore (Uncle- 1940-2006)
