"I love weddings which is wonderful because I create them for a living! So I was at no loss for inspiration when it came time to design my own wedding. My fiancee and I had just recently bought and renovated our first home together and we knew it would be the perfect place to host the intimate celebration we had in mind. Although our wedding was in our backyard, it was still important to me that it feel grand. We set the tone with our beautiful invitations on handmade paper. They included a map to our home with a gorgeous sketch of our house created by my husbands mother who is a wonderful artist.  We chose abundance as our key design element. Long tables were overflowing with gorgeous lush arrangements, gold flatware and crystal stemware. Food was crazy important and Whoa Nelly served the most delicious farm to table italian inspired family style meal. Our guests are still talking about it! We had so many tiny design elements that I loved but my absolute favorite were the donuts we gave as favors to our guests from the famous Randy's Donuts. Our invitation designer created a vintage postcard to accompany them that allowed us to write a personal note to each guest.

My favorite part of the night was when we were taking photos in the front of our home, all of our neighbors were driving by honking their horns and shouting congratulations. It proved we made the exact right decision by taking the next step in our journey in the house we built together."
